Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about coaching, how it works, and what to expect. If your question isn’t here, you’re welcome to ask it during your introductory call.
-
Divorce coaching is a supportive, forward-focused process that helps you navigate the emotional and practical challenges of separation and divorce. It provides a confidential space to gain clarity, work through difficult decisions, and create a path forward — alongside, not instead of, any legal or therapeutic support you may also need.
-
Therapy typically focuses on healing past experiences and mental health conditions, often working at depth over a longer period. Coaching is more present- and future-focused — it helps you understand where you are now, make decisions about what comes next, and build practical strategies for moving forward. Coaching is not a substitute for therapy or medical treatment.

There is no fixed number — it depends on your circumstances and what you want to work through. Some people find a few sessions give them what they need; others prefer ongoing support over a longer period. We’ll discuss what feels right for you during your introductory call.

Coaching can help you think through that decision with greater clarity — exploring what matters to you, what you’re feeling, and what the options look like. Laura won’t tell you what to do, but she will help you reach a decision that feels considered and right for you.
